Its not just cars that get glorified with build threads, some people love to share the progress of their garages too. This is one garage that everyone would love to build their project in.
I can’t remember how I stumbled across this build way back in 2007, but I’m sure glad I did. A talented guy named Mike over in Oregon has been cutting, chopping, and welding his 1969 Chevy Tahoe wagon into a work of art. It’s been converted from long-wheelbase to short-wheelbase, had an extra door added, custom suicide hinges, one piece tailgate, rust repairs, airbag suspension, the list is endless!
The most amazing thing about this build is that he’s doing it all himself in his garage.
If you like metal fabrication, this is one build you can’t afford to miss.
Chances are if you’re into VW’s, you’ve seen The Bucket numerous times. But for those of you who haven’t, prepare to be entertained by one of the lowest, rudest and most charismatic Rabbits of all time. I’m tempted to call it “rat style” or “hood ride” but I can’t do it the injustice of trying to categorise it, it’s in a league of its own…
Over in Chicago, a guy named Marty – in conjunction with some key sponsors and talented workshops – has been building his ultimate GMC Syborg pick-up. The car is being created in Pro-Touring style, with many custom touches and countless hours of labour invested in the project. This is a high caliber build, using the latest technology and all the best parts.
This is the first installment of our Datsun 1600 Project Car
The car was purchased already modified, but there is plenty of room for improvement, see below for pics & stats…
