If you’re anything like me (which, if you’re reading this, you probably are), then you love watching car videos online. The only annoying thing is trying to find them, because let’s face it, navigating YouTube can get tiring after a while, there’s only so many times I can handle watching videos that are NOTHING like what the thumbnail and description makes them out to be. That’s where Autos in HD comes into the picture. Much like Build-Threads gathers up all your favourite builds from around the ‘net and posts them in one convenient place, Autos in HD does the same thing with videos. Here’s two to get you started, focusing on builds of course…click to view.
Every now and then, someone will submit a build that has already been featured, but it is far from a wasted effort as it can open up an opportunity for another story. Jani-Matti from Finland email me a build from Mäkelä Auto Tuning previously featured here, the immaculate restoration of a Group B Toyota Celica rally car. Even though I had already featured that particular build, I had another look at the site and remembered that MAT have more than one intricate build on the go.
Keep reading below and you will find a list of the projects documented in their galleries. I have listed all of them instead of releasing each one as separate features. Does this mean I can take a couple of weeks off now? Didn’t think so 🙁
MAT is truly at the top-end of the car restoration spectrum. Not only are their builds pure quality, but they also take the time to create and update a clean and informative website complemented with superb photography.

Yet another famous build that did the internet rounds a while ago, this time it’s a Group B rally car that gets the attention of some master craftsmen. Everything on this car has been restored to as-new condition with meticulous detail, right down to hand painted dials on the gauges. It is a restoration of truly biblical proportions, definitely one of the most impressive builds on the internet to date, lots of fabrication and hand formed metal to inspire you.
