Triumph GT6 with Jaguar V12 power

Here’s some real home-grown fabrication for you. A V12 converted to twin 4-barrel carbs, shortened Jaguar rear end, BMW front end, endless amounts of body work, chassis fabrication, flat floor and wooden bucks to custom make sheet-metal panels. This is backyard ingenuity at it’s best. Edit: I should probably mention that the thread is over 350 pages long, so yeah, have fun with that!

Triumph TR6…or Z06?

Firstly, I feel I need to apologise for the amount of LSx builds on the front page, as I generally like to aim for a bit of variety on the site. But hey, if people keep stuffing them into cars in interesting ways, I have to keep featuring them! This one is a bit more than just an engine swap, though, because the owner has transplanted a lot of the underpinnings of a Z06 Corvette into his unsuspecting Triumph TR6. The most significant part of this build is that we learn the owner and builder is actually wheelchair bound, yet this proves no boundary to him as his enthusiasm and dedication to his car shines through, making the most of his situation and enjoying his passion to the fullest. So next time you’re feeling lazy or making excuses about your own project, have a read of this thread. My hat is tipped to you, Sir.

Thanks to Peter for submitting.

Turbine powered Spitfire

This build is only in it’s early stages, but it is of such an extreme nature that I just had to feature it straight away. I think it’s one of those projects that will get a lot of exposure very quickly, and then I’d be all butt hurt about the fact I didn’t feature it sooner (as has happened in the past), so here it is. It’s quite simple really, the car is a Triumph Spitfire, and the engine is from a helicopter. Yep, nothing to it…

1969 Triumph 650 Black Adder

Dan from Angry Monkey Motorcycles is back with another Triumph build after completing the gorgeous Low Tide Larry bike that I featured previously. I haven’t put many motorcycles up on the site, but I’m always on the look out for good candidates.

This new bike is named Black Adder, and isn’t far off completion, so hit the build thread after the jump to see how the project evolves.

Low Tide Larry Kustom Triumph

I love this style of custom motorcycle. I think they possess character and charisma far beyond that of Japanese sports bikes or billion-dollar choppers. If anyone knows of any cool build threads for bikes like this, please let me know. This particular example was found on the Jockey Journal. I really need to read up on them a bit more to learn about the different styles and categories, maybe then I can write up a decent description of the next build as opposed to this vague & dismal effort!
