Nostalgic Garage
The garage i featured in Garage Re-Vamp was very modern, clean, high-tech, and full of late model exotic cars. Here’s a garage from the other side of the spectrum.
This is the kind of garage I would love to own. You can keep your tiled floors and rendered walls, give me the character and old school charm of this place any day! Wooden floorboards, exposed beams, and even a split-level add-on.
While there’s no “build” pictures as such, I just had to share it.
57 Chevy Bel Air Coupe
Remember the Syborg Twin Turbo Mini Truck? Well here’s his dad’s car. It seems that good taste runs in the family. As they say, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”.
Not wanting to let his son have the only killer car in the family, Marty’s dad decided to purchase an un-finished project and then went about having it transformed it into a gorgeous piece of rolling 1950’s artwork. From rendering to finished product, the whole project screams class & quality.

SN65 03/65 Mustang
Get ready for a truly epic build. Similar to the Mad Minor project, this is another build that involves taking the body of a classic car and dropping it onto a chopped up frame from a newer unibody car. In this case it’s a 1965 Mustang fastback being mated to the underpinnings of a 2003 SVT Mustang.
Project 510 – Mirrors & Muffler
Now that the mirrors had been successfully trial-fitted, it’s time for paint. Luckily the car is painted Ford Sno White which is readily available in pressure-pack/rattle can format.
I gave them a few coats of primer, then hit them with colour.
Mk1 Golf Show/Club Car 2-in-1-build
It’s good to know there are a few cool Mk1 Golfs in Australia, especially when we’re constantly bombarded with pictures of fresh Rabbits from America and Europe. One such car is this Mk1 from the Club GTI Forums. It follows the popular but difficult formula of building a show quality race car. It’s the perfect build philosophy, but only few have the time/money/skills to make it happen.
So whats with the 2-in-1 title? Well once the blue car was finished, the owner did it all over again with another shell. The second build isn’t quite finished yet, but hopefully it’s not too far off.

AWD Twin Engine Honda CRX
The Honda CRX Del Sol…2-door, targa top, good looks, VTEC “power” etc et. But there’s one thing wrong, they’re powered by the wrong wheels. White-Sol on the Honda-Tech.com forums has rectified this by converting his CRX to TWIN-engine & all-wheel drive using 2x Honda H22 turbocharged powerplants.
