Modern Bullitt Charger

Along with the very popular and often replicated Bullitt Mustang, there was also a certain Dodge Charger featured within the same movie. The one in this feature here is set to be not just a replica, but a modern interpretation that would have no trouble leaving many a Mustang in it’s dust.

Starting with a clean base car that even had some un-touched factory panels, this very organised build quickly evolves to showcase an insane level of attention to detail, and a host of very impressive metal work. My favourite part would have to be the retrofitted air conditioning setup with custom lines in the front guards/fenders, along with their equally neat debris covers. Well, that, and the almost-too-cool custom wheels that were manufactured to mimic the original hub caps.

The car is yet to be finished, but has been seeing steady progress for almost 3 years and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Definitely one to follow.

Ford Super Duty F350

Big-body truck builds interest me because it’s not something we see much of here in Australia. Our most popular trucks are what would be considered medium sized in the US, such as Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger. In fact I think I’ve only ever seen one Raptor with my own eyes, a personal import. So when I saw this Super Duty thread it really drew me in, because not only am I not used to seeing these trucks, but I’m really interested in watching them get cut up and re-worked. The Cougar House Garage guys sure know how to document their build, with the thread almost being a step-by-step how-to guide. Aside from the obvious reduction in ride height, this truck will also receive a 24 Valve Cummins, converted to a 2wd dually setup, and a whole host of torched and welded metal innards. Considering the tiny stature of the Fiat 850 featured recently, it’s trip to see the difference in scale of the parts that make these things go together.

Twins Turbo Motorsports Viper

Many of you have probably seen this incredible car before on the pages of Speedhunters, where the team documented some of the build and shared top-notch desktops of the finished product. Recently, Build-Threads reader Geoff emailed me a link to a full gallery of the build hosted on the workshops own website, so I thought there was enough visual treats to share with you guys, even if some of you are already familiar with the car.

Saab 93 + Viper V10

Not a day goes by that I’m not grateful for the crazy people out there who are willing to tackle insane driveline swaps. I mean seriously, at what point in your life do you sit there and think to yourself “You know what, I think I’m going to put a Viper V10 into a Saab 93 wagon?”. Pure insanity, I love it.
